What would be the average price of 3months kid thallicherry goat, at what age should I need to purchase.
That depends on the average weight. In our farm and most other farms, if the kid is under 15kg body weight, the price is calculated for 15kg. It doesn’t matter, if the kid weighs 10 or 15kg, it will be the same price. We are pricing @ Rs.320/Kg. So, a 15Kg kid will cost you Rs.4800.
It’s most often advised to get a adult female goat after first kidding rather than an kid, since, you can expect a kidding in 5 months. If you choose, young kids of 3 months, it will take at least another 6-9 months for them to mature and start breeding.
